These babies are not mine. They have parents who love them & everyone involved is working on a plan to get them back home.
My role is to love them fiercely, show them stability & protect them. It’s wild to me that they have completely taken over my life. Everything I do revolves around babies who aren’t mine & I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Watching these kiddos learn & play carefree is such a gift. For now we will spend our days on the ranch, navigating online elementary school & a teething toddler.
I’m so thankful for the support system that shows up strong for me every day. There are so many hard moments, but there’s a lot of fun that balances it out.
I’ve never been sure that I believe everything happens for a reason, but I think sometimes beautiful things work themselves out when they’re meant to be.
50 days ago I welcomed these babies into my home. It just so happened that they came into care the same day that I woke up earlier than usual & felt pushed to sign my homestudy.
Smart, tough sister was born just 15 days after my wonderful momma went to heaven in 2011. Sweet, silly brother, well he shares a birthday with my momma.
I’m busy, stressed out, missing silence & the dark circles under my eyes are here to stay but my heart is so full.
